This is currently an ongoing project on my Instagram account. It began on March 22, when NY Governor announced “New York State on pause” executive order, and since then all New Yorkers have begun to live under a “new normal” lifestyle with wearing masks, keeping social distance, and disinfecting constantly. I’ve been living in the city that never sleeps for many years, so to see it go into sleep mode for the first time is a surreal experience. Therefore, I decided to take my camera and drive around the city and post one photo per day on my IG to document the changes in the NY lifestyle under the COVID-19 impact through my lens.
